Varialess Magmoor Run

For quite a while, Sequence Breakers in MP were wondering if it would ever be possible to make it through Magmoor without collecting the heat-protecting Varia Suit from Flaahgra. Many tried and every attempt failed. It soon became one of the "holy grails" of MP SB'ers everywhere as they became determined to crack this challenge good and proper. However, 'regular' Sequence Breaking couldn't seem to get to that extra energy tank that they needed to give players the extra time required to make it through Transport Tunnel A and to the safe haven of the Elevator.

Fast forward a year and a bit on, and the "holy grail" has finally become a reality. Through the use of moving between rooms while in a Secret World state, it has become possible to grab the Icebeam BEFORE fighting Flaahgra, leading to the collection of an extra energy tank. These - much taunted - SW's became the key to getting that extra energy tank required to make it through Magmoor Varialess.

The routes available through Magmoor are FAR from easy to navigate Varialess. Your energy drops 10points EVERY second. That gives you only 49 Seconds to reach the elevator room after Transport Tunnel A (TTA) if you don't try and pick up any energy refills from the crates.

PAL players also have the added "advantage" (depending on how you look at it) of having another route to also choose from. Instead of taking the Root Cave route and heading through Firey Shores to Monitor Station, PAL players can also take the Burning Trail (BT) route and head via that way past Lava Lake. The PAL/NTSC-JP version has the advantage in that the puffers in the Triclop's Pit will sometimes drop ULTRA energy when you kill them. Giving you the chance to replenish between 1 and 4 tanks near Monitor Station...

Below are links to both the "universal" route (as PAL/NTSC heat damage is the same), as well as the PAL/NTSC-JP Only route.
