PPC Without Spiderball

This route was devised by players originally for a 23% game, but it ended up being very useful also in any% speed runs as it allows you to scale the room rapidly with the minimum of movements. Most people stop trying this trick half-way up Plasma Processing Center (PPC), but with practice, you CAN make it all the way to the very top from one place...

I also STRONGLY recommend that you practice this on a 100% file with every pirate and turret destroyed, so as to get the feeling for the jumps first (before attempting it under fire!).

.:How To:.
As soon as you enter the room, make your way to where the Wave Pirate lands. Kill him (ideally) and you should notice a horizontal 'V' shaped section. SJ into this as it's solid. Now, VERY quickly (as you'll be getting shot at), SJ up and to the right. There's a square section that allows you to stand on it. Turn 160 degrees to the left and then SJ into the next section of the pillar above you with the horizontal 'V' section.

From here, you have 2 choices. You can either SJ up to the metal platform above and then proceed as usual to the Ice Door at the top via the floating platform, or you can continue to SJ up the pillar to the Ice Door. I haven't managed to make it up that far with this trick, so a guide to going up higher will be online soon. Until then, you can watch Kip's movie of going up all the way...
