Metroid Prime Sequence Breaking - Skip Morphball Battle

To do this, you must have obtained the Space Jump when you landed on Tallon IV. This is because you need to do a long Space Jump over past the wall that comes up when you "trigger" off the fight section. You can now obtain the Morphball without first fighting anything. As soon as you start to come back however, you WILL trigger the fight, but you can simply space jump back onto the half-pipe and exit (see screenshot).

For the fastest way to collect the Morphball on NTSC Original speed runs, you can do a scan dash from the half-pipe's scan point which is situated on the left of the half-pipe in it's center. See it in action by checking this movie out (taken from Kip's 1:04 Run):
