Bomb Jump Over Great Tree Hall Bars

Discovered By:zOidi, Andrew Mills

This trick is essential in a 22% run and is very useful in 100% speed runs. It's certainly isn't easy to do, and may take a lot of practice, but it's certainly possible.

As soon as you reach the bars, aim your view at the right corner of the bars. Morph, and then carefully roll up to the spot shown in the second screenshot below. Now, you need to perform a Double Bomb Jump (DBJ) from this spot (which is slightly slanted, making it harder still). The DBJ needs to be slightly modified to get the extra boost required to make it up and over the bars. And to do that:

* Plant bombs 1 and 2 as per normal
* Then plant bomb 3 about one (maybe 2) bombs higher, but not as high as you would for a normal DBJ

Be careful not to get too close to either the wall or the bars. As soon as you hit bomb 3, push forwards and aim for the top right corner. You'll either slip through cleanly, or you might get stuck. A bomb or two here should push you through, if this is the scenario. And don't forget to remove the bars in the spinner when you make it over!

Face the Right Corner Don't get too close to the wall or bars The view from over the bars Remember to open bars right afterwards!
