Crossway Without Boost

(Discovered By: Kip - Method 1)
(Discovered By: Andrew Mills - Method 2)

Either one of the following methods are required in a 22% run, while the first method is perferable in any form of speed run (as you don't have to stop once to make it work).

.:Method 1 (L-Lock SJ):.
Probably the best method to use out of the 2 (except when attempting a 100% speed run), as it can be performed without stopping for any real length of time. Basically:

Make your way to the right side of the half-pipe. L-Lock your view down and run towards the wall. Just before you run into the wall (and as soon as you see the half-pipe appear on your screen), move left towards the corner where the half-pipe meets the wall. From here L-Lock SJ towards the piece of rock that sits at the back of the half-pipe.

You might find that a little twist in the L-Lock Space Jump helps you to make it across smoothly.

.:Method 2 (Ghetto Jump):.
It's possible to Ghetto Jump out of the Half-pipe on the left hand side, in front of the Chozo Logs. To do this you need to make your way to the spot in the half-pipe that has something that looks like a metal plate.

Turn around to face the door you came in from. Hug the side of the half-pipe and do a ghetto jump while pushing right, changing to left just before jump 2 and hit jump then right to land on top and beside the metal structure that goes up. This is mainly used in a 100% speed run as you use that structure to reach the missile expansion without boost...
