Bosses 2. Difficult/One-time only enemies ~~BOSSES~~ Boss 1. Centipede(official name unknown) Difficulty- **(out of *****) Wowza. A game with the first boss killing me. That must mean something... It's a ** because most times I've had a friend play it, they died too. Other that that, incredibly easy. It had a real Super Metroid feel. Make sure you save before fighting this boss. Strategies- OK. I only see one strategy. First off, it surrounds you & opens it's eye. Stand directly below it and shoot ONE missile immediatly. It should get hit. Walk somewhere in between the eye and a 'wall'. The eye will dive down. Just stay where you are. When it returns, it's eyelid is shut. Stay below the eye. Spikes will fly out of the 'walls'. If they get close, shoot 'em. Make sure you use 'L'. Rinse & repeat. The third time you do this, the eye will lunge at you and leave the room. You must hit it's eye with a missile quickly, or it will leave the room. If it does, leave and reenter the room. When you kill it, collect the power-ups and the Charge Beam upgrade. I love the charge beam, looks like your shooting a fireball... HARD MODE- Boy. He's pretty tough on Hard mode. You should shoot all of the little spikes he throws at you and pick up there power-ups. Make sure they are not all up against the 'walls'!. The centipede will also lunge at you more, so roll into morphball and get to the other side. Boss 2. Acid Worm Difficulty-*(out of *****) This guys really a joke of a boss. He's so easy. He doesn't deserve that star of difficulty I gave him. Strategies- Again, this guys really easy. When He pops out, get on the closest lower platform. He'll be in the acid below. When he starts wiggling his teeth around, zip-line to the next side(on the lower platform). Missile him a ton. Just do this over and over and your set. I found that if you charge a shot while waiting for his teeth to wiggle and riding the zip-line helps. It cuts the time of the battle almost in half. When he makes his acid raise, jump to a higher platform, and then to the dorr area while shooting towards the middle. That will defend you from his spit(ewwwww...). HARD MODE- Not a joke of a boss any more. Same technique as above only when he plants his teeth, wait a second or two before you shoot, as he has temporary invincibilty. He is also invincible to charge beams, so don't use those. Just DON'T fall in the acid and you should be set. Boss 3. Kraid Difficulty-***(out of *****) Haven't fought Kraid for the last couple games, eh? This guy is much different than he was on Metroid 1(which I have beat). Say for instance, it took a while longer to beat him. He's also bigger by just a wee bit *rolls eyes*. Strategies- All righty then. This guy is HUGE. Keep that in mind. This is also a very long fight. Once you get into his chamber, jump up onto the little alcove above. Kraid will throw some spikes at you. Jump onto the platform and shoot them when they are above you. Do this until you are maxed out. Now get onto the alcove. Immediatly shoot the spikes and get a charge beam going. This must be done quickly. Then, hit Kraid's eyes with the charge beam. He will open his mouth. Fire 1-2 missiles. Do this a few times. Kraid will now slash at the platform. Right after he slashes, charge beam and missile him. Soon, the platform will be destroyed. Fall to the bottom. Jump onto the big spikes he shoots out of his belly and do the charge beam/missile thing. Now you have only a few seconds to do this, because he will slash at you and the big spike you're on will explode. If you ever need anything, stay at the bottom of the room and shoot the spikes while avoiding big spikes. HARD MODE- O god. He gets hard. Ya gotta take him out fast. Right when you enter the room, Shoot his mouth. This should get him to his second stage. Regain all your health and missiles. Get him to his final stage. Now, this should take one run. If it doesn't, your pretty much screwed. jump on the spikes and just missile his head like there's no tomorrow. With luck, he'll die. Boss 4. Trapped Imago Difficulty-*(out of *****) This boss reminds me of the plant core from Fusion, only this one isn't trying to eat you. It's easy and very expected story-wise. It's much more of a Mini-boss. Strategies- Lets see. This guy is pretty easy, but it may start to hurt your hand after a while. You have to freeze the ripper who's buzzin around when he's in between the wall and the plant hanging from the ceiling. Jump on him, point your gun down and freeze 'im summore. Jump again and missile the vines holding the plants. Jump and freeze the ripper before it unfreezes. Shoot the vines. Do this until there's none left on that side. While doing this, you must be shooting the spores flying at you, but only the ones on your trajectory. Then, let the ripper go to the other side, and missile those roots. Bada Bing, Bada Boom. It's dead. HARD MODE- Same.... Still really easy. Boss 5. Imago Difficulty-**(out of *****) I got nothin to say about this guy. He's a giant flea. Strategies- Pretty simple boss. Morph ball into the far left corner of the screen. He'll come down. Follow him and missile FORWARD(NOT at an angle!!!). Run back. Go into a Morph ball. Missile up while he's bouncin' around. Follow him and missile forward again. If you run out of missiles, chase him around with a charge beam. He's pretty easy. You shouldn't die. HARD MODE- Same as well. Just make sure you get lots of charge beams ready. *Guest Section by Kaleb.G* "In Ridley, there is a Flying Bug Mini-Boss that you must fight in order to acquire the Super Missiles. I have found a strategy that allows you to avoid taking any damage, by simply staying in a single spot. This makes things a lot easier when going for a low percentage. All you have to do is find the the area near the door to the far right where there are three tall mushrooms growing out of the ground. Stand in the exact spot as the mushrooms, and crouch down, facing left. Then, as the bug flies towards you, keep shooting your beam straight ahead (not angled). This will hit the stinger it launches in the path of your beam every time, thus giving you missiles and sometimes health (note that if the flying bug is still in its original color, it will only launch stingers if you have no missiles remaining). Run over to the item, grab it, and run back to the original position. Stay crouched in the mushrooms. Now, as the bug flies back down and to the left, angle your gun up and to the left, and ready your missiles to launch a few at its hindside as it passes by. Just repeat this enough, and it'll finally go down. Remember to head over to the Super Missile after it has sustained fatal damage so that it will crash into the muck and clear the path for you to pick up the Super Missile." *Guest Section ended* Boss 6. Ridley Difficulty-**(out of *****) This guy is EXACTLY the same as the Fusion Ridley. Strategies- For those who haven't beat Fusion already, this is how you beat Ridley. Missile & charge beam him. A lot. When he snatchs you, just missile him. When he starts jamming his tail into the ground like a jackhammer, run & don't shoot him. Avoid the fireballs. That's about it. HARD MODE- This dude's a PAIN. You should make sure you get the e-tank to the left of his room first. It REALLY helps. Just try top shoot his fireballs and MAKE SURE you pick up the ammo and life!!! Boss 7. Mother Brain Difficulty-****(out of *****) Ok. Picture this boss as a giant door guardian, 'cause that's all it is. Strategies- Enter the first section. Shoot about 8 or so missiles at the Zeebitite (the red pillarish thing in front of you). It should explode. Avoid the lasers and Rinkas(annoying little orange rings). Keep movin forward until you see Mother Brain(it's a brain in a jar). Fire missiles until the glass case surrounding Mother Brain shatters. Switch to super missiles. As I said earlier, Mother Brain is Door Guardian. It'll shoot at you. Jump, crouch, and fire one super missile(or 4-8 missiles) into the eye. If you get knocked off, it can really be a pain to get back up. When getting back on the platform(s), make sure you are farthest away from Mother Brain, on the right side of the right-most platform. Do this until it dies. Boss 8. Chozo Guardian Difficulty-**(out of *****) This one's really fun. Right before(or was it after...) you battle it, you get some pics from the E-manga, which I thought was kinda cool... Strategies- This boss is pretty easy. You gotta shoot the ball that looks like it's holding another Samus. DO NOT shoot it when you see your self in it. It's only mirroring your actions. You get hurt if you shoot it. Every so often, it flashes a blue symbol. Immediatly shpot it, because it'll only be there for a split second. Now, lightning will fly at you. Run from one corner to the next. When it flashes, shoot it again. It will get consistantly faster and more accurate. Shoot the symbol twice more, for a total of four times. After defeating it, you'll get your spiffy round shoulders back, not to mention Gravity suit, Plasma beam, and Space jump. Boss 9. Meta Ridley Beta Difficulty- Either * or *****(out of *****) The difficulty may not make sense, but after you play for a while, you can beat him in under 10 seconds without taking a hit or missing at all. A cool thing about Meta Ridley Beta is that he's the Beta version of Meta Ridley from Prime(HINT HINT!) Strategies- If you have about 10 Super missiles, this guys a breeze. You have to kill him the same way you would if you were fighting him in Prime. The trick is to hit hir chest-orb with 6 super missiles. The cath is, he has all the weapons he did in Prime, making him a real pain in the beginning. His arsenal contains- Fireballs- Hover inbetween the two fireball paths using spacejump against the wall. Lasers- He can shoot lasers aout of his eyes forward and at an angle. Just get in the upper left corner and don't worry if the ones that go straight hit you. Missiles-Not a problem. Screw attack them and pick up the items. Claw swipe- Again, hover in the upper left-hand corner. Now keep in mind he can also block missiles with his 'elbow'. Just jump and shoot immediatly after. And I mean IMMEDIATLY. Just push your fingers across A and B instead of down one and and then another. This should take a few times, but you get used to it around the 4th time. Just hit him with 6 super missiles and that's it! You've defeated the final Boss! You deserve a cookie! ~~Difficult/One-time only enemies~~ Big Sidehoppers- Missile them about 6 times and finish 'em off with your beam. Armored Space Pirates- Kinda a mininboss at the end. These buggers are invulnerable to everything but beams, and they have a tendency to jump a LOT. Just get them in a corner and tap B fast as you can. Anyone remember how to kill SA-X? Just charge beam, jump to the side, charge beam, jump to the side. Slugs- In the whole game, there's only two of these. Wowza. *Guest Section by Moonlight Sonata* When you enter the room with the bugs: you'll see a chamber ahead of you, with a bug larva blocking the passage above. Go into that chamber (I can't recall if you have to blast any blocks out of the way) and pump some of your wave beam shots into its belly. After a few shots it'll die. After getting it out of your way, morph ball through the passage and drop down. You'll see another bug, and it will probably rush at you. Go left and hug the wall--it can't get at you when you're there. Fire a few shots at it to make it back up. Regular shots work, but if you're trying a speed run missiles will make it move back faster. Once it's moved back, curl into a ball and move left (back to the wall), setting a few bombs as you go. The bug will charge over them as they explode, damaging it. Repeat until the bug is dead. *Guest Section ended*
