From: CyberGlitch | Posted: 12/20/2003 2:20:09 PM | Message Detail hm. Wow, I guess people can find secret worlds in any metroid game! It would be cool if the makers of the game set up worlds for people to get to, but they would have to use glitches to get to them. Therefore by not telling the people THEY put them there, They would be considered that by the unknowing. But I think the reason secret worlds have been found for all the metroids, is because when they were found in the first, everyone assumed there may be more in the others. So, people put an effort in METROID games. Therefore, I think that there are 'secret worlds' in any game. For instance, I found a 'secret world' in GTA Vice City were you fall through the police station and end up in nothingness. I also found one in the superman g ame for N64 where you go through the corner of the level and go into a place where you can fly around freely and go through any wall to any part of the level. There are also three in Halo for Xbox. There was Also one in JSRF (Jet Set Radio Future) In the sky scraper level. So that my point is that 'Secret world" searches aren't JUST limited to Metroid, and that they can be found in almost any game when looked for. Yah, secret worlds are everywhere, I've found one in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask that nobody has found, I've only revealed it to a few though. I've also found secret worlds in Burnout 2: Point of Impact, and many others...there are even secret worlds in Mario Sunshine! A large percent of games contain these secret worlds, expecially games that have fully interactive envirments... A couple of odd things though...once I managed to jump, and I sorta got stuck, verrrrry close to the surface...might be a way to get back in the regular world? Unfortunately, I fell down after a couple seconds of being stuck. Also, a couple of times there was a severe slowdown, and Samus was kinda stuck, but it only lasted a couple of seconds before normal SW behavior resumed...anybody know anything about that? I was also playing around with Flaagrah today, and when he goes down, ya know, after you knock out his light-givers, if youre in morph ball you give a little hop, right? Well, I laid a bomb at some point, and some combination of my bomb and the little hop propelled me upward far higher than a tbj. I wonder if this could be used (if it can be done consistently) to find a SW in the sunchamber? From: CtrlAltDestroy2 | Posted: 12/21/2003 3:44:53 PM | Message Detail Videogaming: See post #9 in the Secret World Topic #2. Wait... it got purged didn't it. I guess ask Andrew Mills for it, I hear he backs these things up. Basically I spent about 3 hours messing around in the sunchamber. I found some pretty crazy stuff like the Flaahgra bomb jump you mentioned, and getting underneath Flaahgra's flower, and standing on her flower during the battle. About the strange SW behavior. You all know that in SWs you automatically rise, right? Well, that's actually a safety feature in the engine. It happens whenever you get stuck during normal gameplay, like between two rocks or something. When the game determines that you're stuck, it will make you slowly rise pixel by pixel until you're unstuck, at which case you can resume normal gameplay. If you're in a SW, however, the game thinks that you're stuck and therefore makes you rise. How conveniant. I'm not sure about what causes the severe slowdown, but I've had it happen to me many times. You know that one side of an invisible barrier is slidey, while the other is sticky. I think this glitch happens when you're stuck between the sticky sides of the invisible barriers and the 'rise' command gets confused because there is nowhere to rise. I mostly have it happen to me in morph ball mode, in which case I permanately jammed and I must restart the game. The reason you stick to the wall is because it's sticky. The longer you hold L and the joystick direction towards the wall, you'll stay stuck to it. However, when you release L or the control stick, you'll fall. From: CyberGlitch | Posted: 12/21/2003 8:47:03 PM | Message Detail The Pizza Boy, I'll just tell you here... its a bit scetchy because I haven't played the game in a while, but here goes. Go in the ice level and go to the one room where theres a platform that rises when you shoot one of the frozen eyes. Get to the ledge there and to the left are some invisible stairs. Use the lense of truth (or whatever it is) to go us to where the chest is. Become a goron and go into the ball mode. Move to the back of the area and accelerate using the ice so you spin a lot before falling off of the ledge. you have to used this fast accel to roll off the ledge and into the wall at the opposite side of the room. You should hit it right above the boxes (I'm not sure whether they need to be there or not). When hitting the wall you'll go through it and fall down and hit the ground. The walls still serve as bounderies below, buy you are in a void (a green one). It may take you a lot of tries to get it to work because its not like your just jumping out of the area or anything. Good luck with it...I take all credit for this secret world... --- |-|3|\|5|-|1|\| 4 60 60 |-)48Y!!!11 73|-| |-||_||\|7312 120x0125!!11 |)|3 /\/\371201|)5!!!111
