From: Andrew Mills | Posted: 12/8/2003 7:46:44 AM | Message Detail TehShadowRealm123 | Have you seen all of the pages in the version differences section? A lot of them are screens. And what's up with your posts sounding like ads? It's like "This product has such-and-such that Product B doesn't!". It was more a mentioning of an observation I made when looking at that section. Certainly, from what I seen, it was mainly QT movies that were showing off the differences. Many of which could have been conveyed just as well in 56k friendly screens. But sounding like an ad? Certianly wasn't intentional. From: CtrlAltDestroy2 | Augh!! Found bugs in SW pages 8=10!! -I got Flaahgra before Morph bombs using SW10, not SW9 -The SW10 page is wrong, the entire 2nd half of the page is about SW9! OOOPS! o_O Sorry about those. No idea what happened to the SW10 page, must have re-saved the file with an older version. =/ They'll be corrected in a couple of hours from now. From: Videogaming | I think we should number the SWs in some order other than the order that they were discovered in...I dunno under what grouping process...maybe in order of difficulty to get in... I don't know, you see, they are in an order, and that's the order they were discovered in. But maybe a grouping of what "levels" the SW's are may be useful (Chozo Ruins, Phendrana etc). Anyone else have any further comments on this? Oh, and my Triple Bomb Jump and L-Lock SJ guides are finally up also. www.samus.co.uk/mprime/tbj.shtml www.samus.co.uk/mprime/l_lock_sj.shtml Feedback and comments welcome. The basic premise is to use the tops of the rooms to move around them. You can also use some of the scenery as it sticks just out of the back of the level (the tree for example in Main Plaza SW9). Andrew "MP SW Monkey" Mills --- www.samus.co.uk Updated on: 8th December 2002 From: metroidprime | Posted: 12/10/2003 1:58:24 PM | Message Detail Okay, its me again. I'm back to tell you all of the little secrets I've found and all of the ones that are fake. Now, before we begin, I would like to point out that this is not a backstab to the people who have tried to find secret worlds in Metroid Prime. This is just a list of MY findings. Okay, first, I would like to start off with the FAKES. Fake #1: Phendrana Canyon, Phendrana Drifts - You cannot reach any secret area by moonjumping out of the main area. Sorry, but it doesn't exist. The only thing that Phendrana Canyon has that's even close to being a secret area is a ledge that is hidden but is still connected to the rest of the main area. Don't get me wrong, it is pretty cool that you can walk on the edge of the canyon but its not really a secret, now is it? Fake #2: Ruined Courtyard, Phendrana Drifts - Again, you can't reach a secret area by moonjumping. If you tried, you'd probably end up falling forever and having to turn your game off and restarting because you can't get back up. Like Phendrana Canyon, Ruined Courtyard has a ledge you can walk on for a short while but then you either fall out of the area itself or you fall back into the area. Okay, that's all of the fakes I can think of at the moment so I'll just end it at that. Now, I would like to tell you about the new secret areas and ones that are real. New!: Chozo Ice Temple, Phendrana Drifts - Alright, what you're going to want to do here is first get to it. If you don't remember where it is, I'll give you a clue... its on the way to get the Wave Beam. Now, when you get there, find a way to look straight up. When you find the hole at the top of the huge tower, moonjump straight up. You will leave the tower and go outside to the top of the tower. At the top of the Chozo Ice Temple, you can walk or roll around as much as you please without falling through the unmapped floor. I consider this a secret area because you can actually walk and roll here. It was made like that intentionally. If this wasn't meant to be found, you would fall through just like the other so-called secret areas. Anyway, that's it. ACTION REPLAY 2 REQUIRED New!: ???, Magmoor Caverns - The reason for the ?'s is because I can't remember what the place is called, but I can describe it to you. Its in the room in Magmoor Caverns where you have to roll around under the metal grating to activate some Morph Ball switches to cool the lava. Okay, this is what you have to do... You have to be on top of the grating to do this one. When you're on top, moonjump all the way to the top of the area. Now, before you moonjump, look around for the stalagmites that seem to come down from the top of the area. You will be able to see them... But you won't be able to see the platform directly on top of them. When you moonjump you'll know you've hit the top of the area when you have stopped moving up and you don't fall when you let go of B. When you have reached the top, locate the big platform below you that you couldn't see from before. When you are right over it, go into your Morph Ball form and drop on it. You will be able to walk on it just like it was part of the actuall area. And that's it! ACTION REPLAY 2 REQUIRED Confirmed!: Artifact Temple, Tallon Overworld - People have been trying to Space Jump out of this area by jumping on top of the statues and so on. But, I have come to find out that it is impossible. But, it can be done with an AR2. What you need to do is moonjump straight up until you reach the top. Then, walk over to where you are not above the Artifact Temple, but over the large crater below it. When you are there, switch to your Morph Ball mode and drop down into the crater. When you're here, you'll be able to do everything you normally would in any other part of the game. ACTION REPLAY 2 REQUIRED That's all I got for now but I'll keep you posted! --- When you are suffering... Know that I have betrayed you. It has been verified by several people, including me that Phendrana canyon and Ruined Courtyard DO have secret worlds.
