I dunno..) anyway, sorry I missed you saying about boost..but yeah, to go the other way I need to have morph to get to the ice door, and need to deactivate hydra..so no go that way. If you go the other way, unless you can completely skip thardus' room, you would have to fight thardus because once you wake him, the doors are locked. --- "And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun" From: Andrew Mills | Posted: 12/1/2003 4:59:16 AM | Message Detail Tyzr | The elevator to phendrana is blocked by just that morph ball tunnel thing you boost through with those bombus'..then it is thardus. But, the next room just does not seem to want to load ;p I cannot go the other way for a couple reasons. 1 is you need morph to get to the ice door..silly, but then again, you are suppose to get up there with spider..so yeah heh The second is if I do manage to get past it, I cannot get past the hydra force field. Last, there is another boost morph ball tunnel thing before thardus..but if I could get there I would just go for boost. But yeah, the hydra forcefield would be in the way. *dies* I completely forgot about the spidertrack behind Thardus's room... *smacks forehead* Is the elevator room "roofless"? If it it, you SHOULD be able to reach Thardus by escaping out of the room before the mball is required floating over to the wavebeam door and entering the room from below Thardus, triggring the cut-scene and entering the world again. Kill Thardus, and leave via his room. Regarding the door at the magmoor mball tunnel, simply stand on it in Magmoor Monitor, shoot it, stay still and then jump to the right of the door, float to the next door leading to the elevator and pray you can float back in from the top. Re-entering the level correctly via the door is WELL hard to do... =/ Andrew "MP SW Monkey" Mills --- www.samus.co.uk The Greatest Metroid Site Around now looks even BETTER! The elevator room before thardus has an open ceiling, and I can get out..but just cannot get the next room to load. Tried several ways (as described before, but no luck). And yes, that is why I said this would be the best way because only one room you need to get by, and thardus has a cut scene. You have been thinking I am going the other way ;p Workstation is the one that leads to either ppc or phendrana south. So yeah, someone in irc was able to get through the tunnel, but the elevator room would not open. Good that you said it is not easy now heh cause I was going to say, what am I doing wrong? heh ;p well it should be easy cause all you need is moonjump to get out..it is just openning the door. --- "And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun" From: Andrew Mills | Posted: 12/1/2003 6:12:47 AM | Message Detail @Tyzer: Ahhh, I see more clearly now! My best advice is to try and make the elevator room dissapear. We know that MP pre-loads the rooms 2 in the memory at once. Now if you try to make it to 3, the machine has a heart attack and normally freezes. So by making the room with the bombus in it go black around it, and hence the elevator room disappear from the GC's memory, you should be able to load Thardus's room... If you can't get it, keep trying all ideas and I'll give it a blast as soon as I get in... Andrew "Work Monkey" Mills --- www.samus.co.uk The Greatest Metroid Site Around now looks even BETTER! I really suck at English (im only 13) and i didnt read the 2 last pages at SW v2.0 so could you please give me a quick brief? And andrew, where are you from? Basically, we have an idea that if we reach the morphball bombs without the morphball (by using the Secret Worlds to move between the rooms), then we might be given the morphball with the morphball bombs. It's only a theory, but apart from a no-Space Jump game, is looking like one of the only viable options left. If we reach boost ball OR reach Thardus and get the Spiderball (as Tyzer rightly mentioned) we can check it easier as we have a problem in our original route. And I'm Northern Irish, but I live in Scotland. Andrew "Work Monkey" Mills --- www.samus.co.uk The Greatest Metroid Site Around now looks even BETTER! From: LLCoolDave | Posted: 12/1/2003 9:29:59 AM | Message Detail Andrew, I doubt you ever tested what you're claiming. 1.) The elevator room in Phendrana is too high. If you try to get over the top to reach thardus, you'll end up beeing stuck in the ceiling. The only way to drop down in this room is to morph, which we can't. 2.) Trying to reach the other PhenElevator would be via morph tunnel, and I'm rather sure this can't be done. I spend a good 30 minutes in that room today, and I know how to get the door to open, but if I wait it'll close, and if I'll go near it, it will close again. My best call would be to maybe collect the e-tak, but that ain't work either. So I don't think this will be as easy as it seemed, Mr. Mills. --- "I've won several tournaments with the target, but I've never won with Sandbag. From: Andrew Mills | Posted: 12/1/2003 9:57:22 AM | Message Detail Well, I've just ran a test that's as conclusive as we're gonna get it seems: I used the AR code for Morphball Bombs w/o morphball to see if it would give me the mball as well, and... Nope. Nadda. Which is a complete bugger. How the game will react to actually starting off in Morphball mode without them is another matter, but certainly, you can't morph into a ball with just the bombs. I collected the morphball straight after and low and behold, I could now use the bombs... =( Pah. Ah well, may still be interesting to see what the game does exactly but a no-morphball game will - most likely - be pointless. Still, without the goal of a nmb game, we wouldn't learned as much about how to operate in the SW's as we have. Anyone else have any other suggestions on what we can use the SW's for? As there's no point getting completely disheartned by it. z0idi's managed morphball before missiles and thanks to the combined efforts of Cyberglitch, CtrlAltDestroy 2, Destroyer F and Skullman X we've managed to reach Flaahgra without bombs. Pointless? Maybe. But possible? Defanitely. Andrew "These Things Happen" Mills --- www.samus.co.uk The Greatest Metroid Site Around now looks even BETTER!
