After reading this guide, you should have some tips and tricks that will help you increase your score greatly, and cut down on those precious seconds as well as some glitches that are just darn cool. ========================== What are Speed Tricks - 01 ========================== Speed tricks are defined by most as something that allows you to progress through a game or area faster than normal utilizing a new strategy or way of progression. In this case, Speed Tricks will be something that helps you get through rooms faster, kill enemies faster and survive longer. Together, these tips will be especially helpful in game modes such as Regulator and Morph Ball. ====================== What are Glitches - 02 ====================== Glitches are a game defect, so to speak. They are an error in programming which can result in being advantageous to the gamer playing. This including clipping errors, missed level boundaries, and other effects. =============================== Where are the Speed Tricks - 03 =============================== Well, as you should know, speed tricks will be most helpful in Regulator mode. Anyways, on to the speed tricks! ----------------------------------------- |Speed Trick 1: Double Jump | | | |This is where you step on a launch pad | |and once you go soaring through the air| |you double tap your screen to jump | |again. This is useful for evading | |attacks and gaining extra height. | ----------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- |Speed Trick 2: Charged Missiles/Electrolob| | | |By charging up missiles and the electrolob| |you can deal extra damage. Minimum | |requirements are: | |You must have two missile/EL charges(pack)| -------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- |Speed Trick 3: Morph Ball/Elite Bomb Jump| | | |Morph Ball Bomb Jump (MBBJ): | |First, morph and stop moving. Then, plant| |one bomb and as soon as it goes off, | |unmorph. This will skyrocket you higher | |than a jump will. Probably as high as | |two or three space jumps. | |-----------------------------------------| |Morph Ball Double Bomb Jump (MBDBJ) | |(Also known as Elite Bomb Jump - Name by | |Phazon Siphon of M2K2.): | |This is exactly the same as the MBBJ but | |you are going to double jump, then | |unmorph. This is done by placing one bomb| |then right before it goes off, place | |another. Then while in the air, at the | |apex of your jump, place another bomb. | |The result will be you jumping twice and | |when you get bombed up with the highest | |bomb, unmorph. You will skyrocket very | |high and can clear every ledge in | |Regulator Mode (With the except of the | |Bomb Slot platform. | ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- |Speed Trick 4: EBJ in Ball Launcher Room | | | |When you reach the room that is at the | |end of a long, orange/black tunnel, you | |have stepped into the right room. | | | |Stand below the Ball Launcher Platform - | |first and highest platform in the room - | |and morph into a ball. Use the EBJ (as | |described above) and jump your way onto | |the platform. This can save up to 30sec | |as you don't have to wait and jump around| |inside the room. | ------------------------------------------- All these speed tricks can be found in every level (object permitting - launch pad/electrolob, etc) =========================== Where are the Glitches - 04 =========================== Glitches can be found in two points within the game specifically, but it is possible to find them anywhere else. ------------------------------------------- |Glitch 1: Secret World 1 | | | |Techniques to use: MBDBJ/EBJ | |Area: Assault Cradle | | | |When you first spawn, turn left and head | |out towards the launch pad. Jump up the | |launch pad and land on the top of the | |roof (above the door to the electrolob. | |Once on the top of it, morph into a ball | |and perform the MBDBJ (see above)- make | |sure you're facing the tall wall in front| |of you. Then, when you're in the air, | |jump on to the roof in front of you. | |You will be at an angle yet you will be | |able to walk up onto an invisible area. | |This area is the secret world. Walk off | |the roof to wall down into an area full | |of Metroids and Mochtroids. | ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- |Glitch 2: Secret World 2 | | | |Techniques to use: MBBJ, MBDBJ/EBJ | |Area: Trooper Module | | | |This can be useful for the multiplayer | |version. You need to get to the hanging | |platform in the middle and perform a | |MBBJ/MBDBJ up into the ceiling. This will| |boost you through and into a black area | |known as Secret World 2. | ------------------------------------------- These are the two main secret worlds that have been found to date. I'm sure many more will be found and many more can be found (as you just have to exceed the ceiling height). If you find any more, email them to me and I will add them (with credit to you). ================ Multiplayer - 05 ================ This section is devoted to multiplayer strategies and tips.
